The Minority Caucus in Parliament has officially raised concerns about Hon. Emmanuel Bedzrah's chairmanship of the Ad-Hoc Committee.
In a memorandum dated February 10, Minority Leader Osahen Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin stated that the caucus had submitted its concerns to the Speaker of Parliament and was awaiting a response before proceeding with further engagements.
The memo, copied to the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business, clarified that the Minority’s position should not be misinterpreted as a refusal to engage with the committee. Instead, it emphasized the need for fairness, impartiality, and credibility in the committee’s proceedings.
The Minority Caucus is now waiting for the Speaker’s decision, which could influence the next steps regarding the committee’s work.
